Jeremy McConnell is being investigated for assault in Liverpool

JEREMY McConnell is being investigated by police over claims he assaulted his on-off girlfriend Stephanie Davis.

A complaint was reportedly made on March 9th with the alleged female victim providing a polcie statement.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told MailOnline: 'Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property (in Liverpool) on Thursday (9 March).

Earlier today, Jeremy was spotted flying to Ireland without Stephanie Davis or their son Caben-Albi.

'At this time no arrests have been made'.

The 27-year-old reality television star laid his late parent to rest on March 7 in Dublin, Ireland, and it has been reported the model has since lost another relative, and the second blow of tragic news has come as a "massive shock" to him.

Well, Stephanie Davis has finally shed some light on what's going on with her and father of her child, Jeremy McConnell.

Following the devastating news it's also believed that Jeremy is seeking counselling to deal with his grief as a source recently revealed to The Sun: 'He's still grieving from the loss of his dad and his auntie passing away has hit him hard too.

Last week Jeremy was supported at his father's funeral by Steph - the exes have been working on rebuilding their relationship for the sake of their son. Of course there were happy moments as well as sad moments.

It was on one of these visits that ex-Hollyoaks star Stephanie was given the hard task of having to tell Jeremy about the sad passing of his father because his phone was broken and other family members couldn't get in touch with him.

However, there have been reports this week that the ex-Hollyoaks actress has unfollowed her baby daddy on social media again.
