FA Cup: Iheanacho Makes Late Appearance As Man City Cruise Into Semis

Yaya Toure shares a joke with Manchester City starlet Sane as training continues

If Manchester City kept their season alive by beating Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, it is the dream of winning the Champions League that that will be revived if they dispatch Monaco in the Champions League this week.

Failure in the two cup matches would leave Guardiola nearly certain to finish a season without a trophy for the first time in his managerial career, as City are ten points behind Chelsea, the Premier League leaders.

"If I have no silverware, I will not be here for a long time", Guardiola admitted.

Pep Guardiola has reached a semi-final in all eight of his seasons in senior club management. To achieve titles, that's what we have to improve - especially next season.

Guardiola said: "They are really well organised and long balls make Middlesbrough so risky".

"But I am really proud of my players because they have given a massive effort from the first minute until the end".

With a comfortable win under their belt, the Sky Blue machine will seek to be humming at a high level under the Champions League lights on Wednesday night.

"As a football player, I won my first Champions League at the old Wembley, and then as a manager won my second Champions League there", the Manchester City boss added. I have to handle that.

We produced a good performance today. The fiery star is one of the best strikers in the world and City's fans will be hoping that he stays with them for a few more years to come.

The big boost for the away side is the return to fitness of defensive rock Vincent Kompany, who could play in his first match in as many as six weeks on Saturday. David Silva opened the scoring with a left-foot finish and the Spaniard has been involved in five goals in his last five FA Cup games. "We have to see how he is but he wants to get in as soon as possible".

"These three games will decide what's going to happen in the next two months, definitely".

Manchester City continue to be without Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus, who are both sidelined with injuries.
