Former president Barack Obama made his annual NCAA tournament picks Wednesday and, as in years past, he mostly stuck to the script. But the segment has since disappeared as President Donald Trump declined ESPN's invitation.

But instead of revealing the former president's picks on television, the Obama Foundation simply released the 44th president's picks on Twitter.

"In the spirit of good sportsmanship and good citizenship, here are President Obama's picks for this year's big dance". He picked No. 1 seed North Carolina to win it all against No. 2 seed Duke.

In 2016 Obama picked the North Carolina Tar Heels to reach the national championship game but had them losing to Kansas.

In the women's tournament, Obama chose the University of CT, the University of Washington, the University of Notre Dame and the University of SC to make it to the Final Four. "So if he picks your team to win it all this year, do whatever is the opposite of getting your hopes up".

We'll fault Obama less for picking UCONN to win it all on the women's side, as they've won 107 straight games and figure to be almost impossible to beat.

Former President Barack Obama has been a fan of Ann Arbor and the University of MI for a long time, having visited on several occasions.
