Pro-Trump rallies set for Atlanta, nationwide

West Main Street served as a divider between supporters and opponents of President Donald Trump Monday afternoon.

The "Spirit of America" rally will be held in several cities across the USA with the Atlanta event being held at the Liberty Plaza at the Georgia Capitol on Capitol Avenue. Additional pro-Trump rallies are being planned for Saturday, March 4.

At an event dubbed the "Spirit of America Rally to Support Our President and Congressman", about 40 supporters lined the north side of the street at noon, holding signs and chanting phrases such as "Trump is the man". Locally, demonstrators recently gathered to show their opposition to President Trump's immigration orders at "A Day without Immigrants" rally.

"When you hear people at these ant-Trump rallies being interviewed, some of the things they're saying are unbelievable to me", she said. There was a spontaneous uprising of grassroots activists that voted for President Trump to find a way to let people know that we support his agenda.

According to a Facebook page promoting the rally, the event will start at 11:30 in the morning and end by 1 p.m.
