Monk could get best out of Barrow at Leeds United

Barrow, 24, who has five global caps for Gambia, reunites with former Swansea manager Garry Monk in making the move to Elland Road.

Monk has previously signed the winger whilst he was manager at Swansea.

This season the winger has featured 19 times for the Swans and the Gambia worldwide will add further competition to the squad across United's front line.

Barrow, 24, will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Championship club Leeds. Like Pedraza, who signed earlier in the day, Barrow is a winger who can play further forward and, if called upon, is comfortable playing as a striker.

He has featured 18 times in the Premier League this season but was made available by Swansea after recent changes to their management team.

The pair worked together at the Liberty Stadium and the Monk wants Barrow to bolster Leeds' promotion push.

Leeds fans will be hoping for a much stronger return from the pace master as they seek to end a 13-year wait for Premier League football this campaign.

Both could make their debuts on Sunday, as Leeds make the short trip to Huddersfield Town.
