Dark Horse Comics Partners With BioWare To Make Mass Effect: Discovery

Dragon Age: Inquisition served as a lesson to Bioware; the software company is not going to repeat the same mistakes with Mass Effect Andromeda.

Back in 2016, there were some suggestions that Mass Effect Andromeda will be an open-world game, but according to dev, it is not.

"Clearly there's some bad apples here, and you have to deal with them", "Mass Effect: Andromeda" creative director Mac Walters said during an interview with The Official Xbox Magazine (via GamesRadar), "but what does that mean for the rest of Andromeda?". It will feature large sections to explore, though, and Gamble opted to call it an "exploration-based game".

The Mass Effect Andromeda Lead Designer also talked about the game's romance options recently. Regardless you have the idea of tight story deliverance and all the vast things you generally expect with Mass Effect. "You can cruise around some of these planets in the Nomad, but it's not the traditional sandbox-type game". The majority of the battle happens in more tightly, littler ranges. "They're not career path stuff, they're not even usually side quest stuff, they're little self-contained things".

In any case, you can see in action some of the characters who will accompany us in the adventure-between Asari, Salarian, Krogan and, of course, humans. That being said, it's not completely linear, either. But you can say we're doing small brush strokes. Tying in to the highly anticipated release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, writer Jeremy Barlow and artist Gabriel Guzman team up to create the next exciting chapter of the Mass Effect comics series!
