ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom's pricing in Taiwan revealed, phone now available

It seems Asus is finally looking to launch a major upgrade to the original Asus ZenFone Go, and a fresh leak indicates that the company could do that in the form of Asus ZenFone 3 Go launch at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. Tipped to be available in shades of Black, Pink and Gold, the ZenFone 3 Go's hardware could be packed inside an all-metal body, which will in all probability miss out on a fingerprint sensor.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card.

Information about its camera is also quite detailed. On the optics front, the options include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It looks very similar to what Chinese manufacturers now offer in the Rs 10,000-20,000 price band. The outlet claims that the phone is now being sold in India, signaling offline availability in addition to an online presence. While ASUS already has a few variants in the ZenFone 3 line, like the original ZenFone 3, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the ZenFone 3 Ultra, and the ZenFone 3 Zoom, the ZenFone 3 Go would appear to be a more budget-focused handset. The Asus ZenFone Go (ZB500KL) follows the ZenFone Go (ZB450KL) smartphone which was launched past year in August and is priced at Rs 6,999. The phone is listed on the brand's site and Amazon India but has not received a formal announcement as yet.

Asus flagged off its "Go" series with the Asus ZenFone Go in 2015, and the company has since then announced a lot of variants of it with minor tweaks.

The expected price of the Zenfone 3 Go is Euro 150 (about Rs 11,000), which will be similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
