WEATHER: Cold and dry thru weekend, rain chances are good for Tuesday

Warmer air is just around the corner

The National Weather Service fine tuned its forecast and is now calling for a 90 percent of rain on Saturday. Wind chill values as low as -17. This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Monday.Partly sunny, with a high near 41.

A 30 percent chance of snow.

Sun: High: 28 Low: 14 A.M. light snow otherwise mostly cloudy.

Highs return to the teens and low-20s for the weekend, but single-digit wind chills are still expected.

The National Weather Service issued nine alerts for Larimer County on Sunday, including a high wind warning through 5 p.m. Monday and a winter storm warning through 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow after 11 a.m.

Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high near 18 and wind chill values as low as -8.

Friday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 31.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.

Saturday night: Continue to dress warm and layer up if you are going to be outside because temperatures remain bitterly cold. Winds will remain moderate to gusty anywhere from 10 to 20 miles per hour out of the south-southwest. West wind 9 to 17 miles per hour.

Monday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 26. North wind around 11 miles per hour. Northwest wind around 6 miles per hour.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of rain before noon.

Wednesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
