Tupac Biopic 'All Eyez On Me' to Drop on His Birthday

Tupac Shakur’s “All Eyez On Me” Biopic Gets An Official Release Date

We've been waiting with bated breath to find out when the biopic about late rapper Tupac Shakur will hit theaters--and now we finally have a date.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, All Eyez On Me is set to for release on June 16, which puts it right in the heart of the summer movie season. In addition to other setbacks, All Eyes on Me also was hit with a steep $10 million lawsuit back in 2015, which now remains ongoing.

As expected, Shipp Jr, 28, is relieved that the film has received the green light and told his Twitter followers: "Great feeling to be able to reflect back and see how God worked something out for the best". Danai Gurira, Kat Graham, Dominic Santana, Jamal Woolard, Keith Robinson, Lauren Cohan and Hill Harper.

But the film underwent a series of personnel changes and missed a goal of release in time for the 20th anniversary of Tupac's still murky 1996 killing in Las Vegas. It was claimed that rapper Daz Dillinger had taken issue with his song, Ambitionz Az A Ridah, being used in the film's official trailer.

"All Eyez On Me" now has no release date.

Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars as the rap icon in a film about his tragically short but incredibly influential life.
