Patriots Talk: Roethlisberger Responds To Edelmans Comments

The game will feature a matchup between Toomey's Pittsburgh Steelers and Warren's New England Patriots - both teams vying for a spot in the Super Bowl.

The Steelers played without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger due to a knee injury. He did so by saying the Steelers are run in a manner that's gotten them six Super Bowl championships. We're going against the Patriots. For how good Brady has been in his career, it sure is impressive that he has been so much better than he typically is against the Steelers.

On top of that, the Steelers' defense has undergone a massive transformation from a porous unit on the ground and through the air to a relatively airtight one that has stymied opponents regularly on their nine-game winning streak.

Coming into the playoffs, the one team that nobody wanted to play was the Green Bay Packers.

"Well, I think it's two old guys playing this game for a long time".

"His skill set is incredible", Roethlisberger said of Butler. "So you finally get out there and play, because you feel like you've built up the whole week on the practice field and you've talked about a lot of situations and you've just got to see how they play out". We're not playing tennis. "I personally don't think that would be something that would happen in our locker room, but hey, whatever".

Goodell attended the Falcons/Seahawks game last week and then flew to Kansas City for Sunday night's game between the Chiefs and Steelers.

If you look at the video above, and watch his performance against the Dolphins in the Wild Card Round, the Steelers' back is crucial to their game plan with his 4.9 yards per attempt forcing teams to respect the run and pass on any given down. "We've got to all do whatever it takes to be at our best for those three hours on Sunday night".

"What I'd hoped for and expected". There hasn't been a player in football, not even Aaron Rodgers or impending MVP Matt Ryan, who has been more dominant the second half of the season than Bell.

"Not as (his) level", Roethlisberger said.

Both the Patriots and their opponents, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are vying for their ninth Super Bowl appearance, which would be an National Football League record. But his refusal to answer a question about New England's socal media rules also suggests Belichick simply wants his players to avoid any possibility of creating a cyber-distraction.

"He's really a hard guy to tackle". We've got to limit them on offense after they played great last week. "He has such great quickness and burst that he's able to hit that hole and before you know it it's six or seven yards". If any Patriots is going to get an "extra year", as Cowherd says, it's Brady. "That helped put pressure on Brady". The camera following him to midfield and the microphone tucked inside Tom Brady's shoulder pads ended up making that impossible.

After defeating the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round, the New England Patriots are on to the AFC Championship Game. They'd have the edge in conference championships and an opportunity to go up two on the Pats in Super Bowl titles since '05. "For us, it's obviously going to be minimizing (Brady's) role and pressuring him".
