NFL Star's FB Live From Steelers Locker Room Catches Coach Bashing Patriots

Players are prohibited from using social media in the locker room until media outlets have been given an opportunity to talk to players following games. The remarks he made about the Patriots probably weren't personal, though he does have a history with whining about things Bill Belichick does. I am not going to be anxious about what they are saying, I am going to be anxious about what they are doing. Brown violated team policy and the NFL's social media policy that prohibits posting messages 90 minutes before kickoff through postgame interviews.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Wednesday called Brown's actions "water under the bridge".

This year's Steelers are a lot more like recent Patriots teams than they are like this year's Giants who laid an egg after Odell Beckham's boat bonanza.

"I have absolutely no worries regarding (that)", Tomlin said.

The Steelers play the Patriots on Sunday in the AFC Conference Championship, with the winners going to the Superbowl.

Both Slater and Hogan insisted that their focus will be trained exclusively on preparing for what Tomlin and his players will do when they arrive to Gillette Stadium Sunday night - not what they say leading up to kickoff. He's not into social media and I think he lets everyone know that.

Personal or not, Tomlin wanted his words to motivate his own players, not his opponent. I guess that's what locker room talk actually sounds like.

This is one way to get tensions flaring before the AFC Championship Game. After the Steelers' divisional round win against the Chiefs, Brown filmed a Facebook Live video from inside the locker room, where Tomlin was addressing his team. It was selfish of him to do that.

Two days after broadcasting the Steelers' locker-room celebration on Facebook Live, Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Antonio Brown apologized on Twitter for letting his "emotions and genuine excitement get the best of me".

Patriots' News: Cowherd believes what he says about Brady or just says it?

" In response to Julian Edelman comment on the Brown video earlier this week - the Patriots receiver said "that's how that team is run" speaking of the Steelers - Roethlisberger defended his franchise. And it was inconsiderate for him to do that", Tomlin told reporters.
