Man is arrested for allegedly pulling fire alarm at Steelers hotel

Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots AFC Championship

In the wee hours of the night, the fire alarm at the Pittsburgh Steelers' hotel went off.

The prank immediately reminded fans of past scandals involving the Patriots, but the alarm was pulled by a man who was not a member of the New England team, according to police.

At the Hilton Hotel at Logan Airport in Boston, a man intentionally pulled the fire alarm around 3:00 a.m. According to state police, Harrison was found walking on hotel property early Sunday morning after the alarm had been pulled.

ESPN reports he pulled an alarm in a stairwell near an exit at the hotel and jumped into a waiting auto with two other men and fled the scene. Harrison is being held on bail. The irony of the situation in 2015 was not lost on Ryan.

"Boy does this sound familiar..."

Pittsburgh Steelers false fire alarm Boston hotel

That last situation unfolded last night as the Steelers were getting one final snooze before tonight's AFC Championship game against the Belichick, Brady and the Pats. "Titans vs. Patriots. Hahaha". Though numerous people in the Boston airport hotel were forced to evacuate, the Steelers players were not, according to ESPN.

The Steelers play the Patriots in a heavyweight clash this evening as they aim to make the Super Bowl.

Alarms weren't limited to the hotel, though.

While pulling a fire alarm to disrupt an opponent is an old trick that goes back years, it does not happen very often.

Thus ends Alarmgate. We hope.
