Just another game for the Patriots

As it stands, they are right now the most complete team left in football when everything is taken together as whole.

The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the New England Patriots as six-point underdogs in the AFC Championship game Sunday - a clash that will live stream from Gillette Stadium, as both teams go not only the victory but for an National Football League record ninth appearance in the ultimate National Football League game, the Super Bowl. The Dolphins let that happen twice in the first quarter during the Wild Card round, and the Steelers quickly ran away with the game.

While these two teams haven't played each other in the playoffs since the 2004 AFC title game, both teams remain two of the most consistent units in the NFL. In fact, ESPN is pointing out that New England's No. 1 scoring defense has caught a lot of breaks this season because of an easy schedule.

When the Patriots and Steelers square off, the weather will be relatively mild.

With Manning retired, Roethlisberger knows that Sunday's game will be billed as he against Brady, but that doesn't bother him.

This weekend, the AFC & NFC Championship games will decide our match-up for Super Bowl LI. They are the dragon. Now, we don't have defensive nicknames, we have defenses that just try to hold on. "It doesn't matter who it is, but they are the 'gold standard'". And entering Sunday's game, it's crystal clear that the Patriots have their hands full against Bell.

Artie Burns and Sean Davis have played without fear during the Steelers' nine-game winning streak and aren't about to now.

He'll have Tom Brady throwing at him, with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.

Bell has averaged 168.5 yards in two games this postseason with two touchdowns, 19 first down conversions and three 20 plus yard runs.

"They play real well up front", Bell said Wednesday. I've been in two playoff stadiums with them already, and they've handled themselves rather well. I hope the Falcons win, but I think the Packers will, which is okay too. But there is more to dissect in this game that isn't going to be a blowout like some people believe it to be.

The Steelers got to the championship game by beating Kansas City, 18-16, in a divisional round game. In fact, since 2001 when future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady took the reigns of the Patriots' offense, New England has won nine of 12 matchups. But Steelers coach Mike Tomlin knows great teams advance in the playoffs even when they have an off-night because they find ways to win.

Shields, a seven-year vet and full-time starter the last four seasons, missed all but one game in 2016 recovering from a concussion. Obviously, the Patriots have the better offense and are going to do their typical style of play, which is to dominate in all areas especially since the game is on Pats territory, giving them the field advantage.

Green Bay head into this game facing the same dilemma as they did heading to Dallas.
