Australia wins toss, bats in 5th ODI vs

Usman Khawaja plays the ball in front of square Australia v Pakistan 4th ODI Sydney

Pakistan and Australia will lock horns in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) at the Adelaide Oval today (Thursday), which is also Australia's national day, Dunya News reported.

Pakistan will want a better all-round performance from the players. Pakistan dropped many catches, and that has hurt their cause. It is a dead rubber and will have no impact on the series, which Australia already won in the fourth ODI. The only win on this tour came Pakistan's way in the second ODI at Melbourne. Having taken an unassailable 3-1 lead after a massive 86-run victory in Sydney on Sunday, Australia will be keen not to let complacency trickle into the ranks.

On the other hand, Australia will be looking to finish its ODI series against Pakistan with yet another win.

It has been learnt that a huge number of spectators are expected to be there at Adelaide Oval due to holiday on "Australia Day".

Pakistan, meanwhile, are likely to make a couple of changes in their lineup as they look for a win to salvage some pride after an abysmal tour, during which they were also whitewashed in the three-Test series.

The change means South Australian Travis Head will open the batting with David Warner in a day-night match to start in warm, sunny conditions.

Pakistan (probable) 1 Azhar Ali (capt), 2 Sharjeel Khan, 3 Babar Azam, 4 Mohammad Hafeez, 5 Shoaib Malik, 6 Umar Akmal, 7 Mohammad Rizwan (wk), 8 Imad Wasim/Mohammad Nawaz, 9 Mohammad Amir, 10 Hasan Ali, 11 Junaid Khan/Wahab Riaz/Rahat Ali.
