AFC Championship Game odds: Brady, Patriots favored over Bell, Steelers

Sunday's AFC Championship game will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the New England Patriots with a Super Bowl berth at stake.

They have much more in common on the field. They have special quarterbacks.

Even though nothing was ever proved about the what role Tom Brady or anyone for that matter played in this ridiculous matter, Brady was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season as punishment. Not even with a bust in Canton one day alongside Brady and the rest of the guys whose jerseys adorn the walls of his home nearly assured regardless of what happens in Sunday's AFC title game. I've been in two playoff stadiums with them already, and they've handled themselves rather well. That's what Roethlisberger has done regularly in key moments in the second half of the season. Last weekend though they looked vulnerable and played pretty abject football against the awful Texans.

When these two teams met in 2015 during the season opener Brown was covered the entire game by Patriots corner Malcolm Butler. Brady and the Patriots they are not. The latter is a running back who not only has the patience in the hole, he also has the catching ability to be a danger in the screen game.

Also, Rodgers now has the flu, so he might be less than 100 percent during this game.

"My worst game that year was that game", Stewart said. And if Rodgers gets back a somewhat effective Jordy Nelson from his rib injury ... The Steelers have been to three, winning two. On Saturday, the Packers called up WR Max McCaffrey from the practice squad as insurance. Meanwhile, the Steelers have won the turnover battle in both playoff games this postseason, and Ryan Shazier has registered an interception in his last four games.

The same could be said about the upcoming AFC Championship coming up between the Steelers and the Patriots. He doesn't make a habit of asking for keepsakes from other current National Football League players, but he made an exception for Brady, the four-time Super Bowl victor who will turn 40 later this year. Unlike the Texans, the Steelers usually don't have trouble scoring points.

How about a big play from William Gay? The explosive Dupree, and veteran James Harrison on the other side, have been on a tear.

Brady was average by his standards in New England's playoff win over Houston last week, but the Patriots still won by 18. There are no caveats for why Brady is great. A pedestrian performance by #12 is still better than most. Maybe his left knee is still a problem. The season prior against the Patriots, he caught nine of 11 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown, though that touchdown came in the final seconds of a game that the Pats had in the bag. In eight games at home, he completed 70.8 percent of his throws, and threw 20 touchdowns to five interceptions with a 116.7 rating. "That's who wins football games - the players". He refused to be drawn on Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's insults of the organisation, broadcast live on social media by Antonio Brown.

Backstage, Ward said he still had some deep-rooted feelings about New England.

"He deserves all the credit that he gets". That's why a matchup with Kansas City and quarterback Alex Smith would've been a cakewalk. "Certainly. But we could also be at home". In the post-season, he's 16-3 in Foxboro.
