In the run up to the release of the "Assassin's Creed" movie based on the popular video game franchise, some viewers will get the chance to experience the hero's journey first-hand. Each of the participating locations will have Oculus Rift demo kiosks that fans can check out.

About Alienware AuroraDesigned for VR, the new Alienware Aurora was engineered to exceed today's virtual reality requirements. The content was developed and rendered using AMD's Radeon technology.

In the case of the movie, Fassbender plays the present-day character Callum Lynch and taps into the memories of his 15th century Spanish ancestor, Aguillar, also played by Fassbender. There, he has to learn how to fight the Templar organization so he can apply that knowledge and defeat them in the present day.

The "Assassin's Creed" film, directed by Justin Kurzel, is produced by New Regency Productions, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, DMC Films and the Kennedy/Marshall Co., co-financed by RatPac Entertainment and Alpha Pictures, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The cast also includes Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Brendan Gleeson (28 Days Later), and Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire).

"The ‚Assassin's Creed' Movie VR Experience is a thrilling piece of virtual reality that will excite aficionados of the game, fans of the movie and newcomers alike".

Assassin's Creed is basically a story about a guy plugged into VR doing insane thing in his own family's long-dead past, so it's only fitting that the movie would come with a VR experience which puts fans and viewers themselves in the middle of the action.
