John Isner reaches semifinals at Paris Masters

Novak Djokovic of Serbia reacts after loosing a point against Marin Cilic of Croatia during the quarterfinal match of the Paris Masters tennis tournament at the Bercy Arena in Paris Friday Nov. 4 2016. Cilic won 6-4 7-6

Djokovic, who was chasing a fifth title in Paris, was beaten 6-4 7-6 (7-2), his first defeat to the big-serving Croat in 15 matches.

Young American ace Jack Sock has been making waves on the tennis circuit for over a year now, and this year added to his laurels with an Olympic Mixed Doubles gold medal. "He is a deserved victor".

Leading Gasquet 5-1 in the first set, Sock was on the receiving end of a blitzing forehand ace off the racquet of Gasquet, which the chair umpire called as a fault.

Sock 7-6 in set one at [4.0] and Sock to win the match at [1.8] are the wagers of interest to me in this one, which is the first match of the day on Friday at around 13:00 United Kingdom time.

He admitted his long-awaited victory at Roland Garros took a toll on him. "I'm not too concerned about how the future will go for me". He has also participated in the Rio Olympic's, but he knocked out in the first round of the singles by Japan's player Taro Daniel, but he also showed their best efforts in other matches as they win a bronze in the men's doubles with Steve Johnson & a gold in the mixed doubles with Bethanie Mattek Sands. He looked set for a straight-sets win when he served a break up at 4-3 in the second set but lost his cool after a foot-fault call. "And to see how he has raised his level in the last 12 months is quite extraordinary". I have put myself in a position to do something that takes a lot of consistency, a lot of concentration for a long period of time.

We're not getting any luck at all in this final week of the main ATP World Tour season, with lost tie breaks, failures from match points up and now failures to close out sets.

Earlier, John Isner won a hard-fought all-American contest against Jack Sock 7-6 (8-6) 4-6 6-4 to reach the semi-finals. The both American players are playing this match to qualify in the Semifinals match of the BNP Paribas Masters.

"In some moments of the match, I could have done a bit better", said Goffin, who needed to win in Paris to qualify for the ATP Finals. Thiem completed the elite field of Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka, Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Gael Monfils and Cilic.
