Hundreds of students stage walkout to protest Trump

Among them: "Love Trumps Hate" and "We Are Stronger Together".

The students, who many said were not old enough to even vote, say they came out to unite with other people who oppose Trump.

A group of about 250 students from South High School peacefully made their way from South High School to downtown Friday afternoon. Early College in far northeast Denver marched to the former Montbello High School.

The district has heard that students who walk out of class will go to the front of their schools for a photo to protest the outcome of the presidential election. "We are united!" "Not my president!" "We were just trying to figure out what would be best for our student body", said Berkeley senior Ariana Cruz.

There were also protests at high schools in Berkeley and Oakland, KGO reported. West Seattle and Cleveland high school students walked out of class Wednesday.

Carlmont junior Rhea Subramanian said, "I think that these walkouts are perfectly justified, but the students need to realize that Trump was democratically elected".

Many feelings, both good and bad, are present throughout the Bay Area regarding the election.
