Harry Kane says he is 'not demanding anything' during new contract discussions

Marcos Alonso fires warning at Spurs ahead of Chelsea meeting

Harry Kane, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli are doubts to start Tottenham's crucial Champions League match against Monaco on Tuesday.

Kane's brace provided a dramatic finish to Saturday's match at White Hart Lane.

Despite poor recent form, the late brace from Kane to beat West Ham on Saturday means both Spurs and the England global will be heading into the tie full of confidence and looking to take a big step towards qualifying for the knockout rounds.

Kane had also scored on his comeback in the 1-1 draw at Arsenal before the worldwide break and confirmed his status as Tottenham's main goal supply in this derby.

"One thing is very important - the return of Kane", Lloris said.

"Also the manager coming in and putting his arm around me - giving me confidence and making me feel I could be one of the best in this league and in Europe". He's a player who is very important for us. The return of Harry Kane is massive as they now have a proven goal threat and he will be itching to prove himself in the Champions League.

Spurs had the ball in the net after just six minutes, but Christian Eriksen's effort was correctly ruled out for offside and they went on to fall behind as Antonio nodded home moments after Cheikhou Kouyate's initial header had come back off the bar.

The midfielder, who is an academy graduate at Spurs, was handed his first Premier League start just days after receiving his first start for the England U21s.

Tottenham, who remain fifth, were not to be denied however.

A deflated Obiang said after the game: "We were very upset in the dressing room after the final whistle".

"But there is no team that can keep to the same level for 10 months", the Argentinian added.

He netted on his return to action in the north London derby against Arsenal before the global break and was on the scoresheet again this weekend with a dramatic late double to down West Ham in the Premier League. "We're full of momentum - we'll take that straight into the Monaco game and, hopefully, win there".

"I am happy at the club and want to be here for a long, long time", Kane, whose current contract runs till June 2020, told British media.

Winks didn't allow his emotions to get the better of him as he gave a strong performance, looking confident in the team and throughout the game.

Otherwise, West Ham had looked relatively comfortable, but Antonio's threat going forward is often tinged with a vulnerability at the back and early in the second half Spurs capitalised.
