Boston Celtics Commentary: Jaylen Brown is the Real Deal

It's no secret that the Cavaliers are far and away the most talented team in the Eastern Conference.

LeBron James approached another milestone and the Cleveland Cavaliers remained unbeaten.

"This is the best I've seen the Cavs play in November", Stevens said, per the Akron Beacon Journal's Jason Lloyd. Thomas managed a whopping 30 points and didn't miss a single shot out of his 14 free-throw attempts.

Zeller finished with 11 points. Sergio Rodriguez is also averaging 12 points and 7.5 assists while filling in at point guard for Jerryd Bayless, who is out with a wrist injury.

James claims he did not set out to average a triple-double when he was putting together his goals for the season on his cell phone, something he does at the start every year.

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens tried to smother the buzz before it started, offering assurances Jaylen Brown would start Thursday night largely for how it would impact the rest of the rotation.

Even if the Celtics were fully healthy, this game can't be a measuring stick of any sort because the team is still adjusting to the addition of Al Horford.

Dan Gilbert, Cleveland Cavaliers owner, remains true to his promise to ensure a championship for the team with no expense spared.

With shooters like J.R. Smith, Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert and Mike Dunleavy, to name a few, the Cavs have been hitting 3-pointers left and right every game.

He has already produced two, including the first 50-point triple-double since 1975. He had five assists in the first quarter and eight in the half while the Cavs built an 18-point lead. The Cavs have become a tight knit group, and Love has been at the heart of it. Let's hope he can maintain his superb start, and we can continue to pay witness to one of the most skilled power forwards the National Basketball Association has to offer, as the Cavs tackle their mission of repeating. But he got to the foul line 13 times, canning 12.Through five games, Love is 37-of-41 (90.2 percent) from the stripe.

The Cavaliers bench came in and played like smart and grizzled old vets. "If he wants to bring it up, that's fine", James told reporters after the game.

James needs two more points to pass Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon for 10th on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

The second half of the first quarter became pretty one-sided, with the Celtics offense stalling and their defense struggling against Cleveland's sheer star power.

James, who was 12 of 22 from the field, scored 20 points in the third quarter after having six at halftime. There were straight runs to the rim, contested jumpers, alley-oops.

After the final buzzer, James sought out Brown and offered some words of advice. Despite a valiant effort, the Celtics still went to the final quarter without making a dent in the Cavaliers' lead.
