Jones had four catches for 94 yards in the first quarter alone Sunday and had seven catches for 170 yards at halftime. It was a football, which very often left Matt Ryan's hands and landed in those of Julio Jones.

The totals by Ryan and Jones are the most ever allowed by Carolina. Through four games, Crabtree has four touchdowns and two game-winning plays (including the two-point conversion to win in Week 1).

Now both quarterbacks are dealing with head injuries. His QB rating (80.2) is at a career low and he's only completing 57.9 percent of his passes. He threw no passes and ran once for minus-six yards, but did catch five Cody Kessler passes for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Also, the Houston Texans were 27-20 victors over the Tennessee Titans and the Seattle Seahawks edged out the New York Jets 27-17.

His 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter gave the Texans a 7-0 lead, and he later had a 28-yard reception on third down that helped set up a field goal. Fuller looks like the real deal.

Those division wins don't include an equally impressive Week 2 win on the road against the Oakland Raiders that has the Falcons at 3-1 and rolling.

COWBOYS 24, 49ERS 17: Ezekiel Elliott ran for 138 yards and a touchdown and Dak Prescott threw for two scores as the Cowboys overcame an early 14-point deficit.

Pro Bowl cornerback Desmond Trufant stopped short of flashing a smile as he reflected on the Atlanta Falcons' surprising 3-1 start, which included Sunday's 48-33 triumph over the mighty Carolina Panthers. It's a team game and team effort.

But the Cardinals haven't been able to regain that offensive sizzle so far this season, with just 31 points combined in losses to Los Angeles and Buffalo the last two Sundays. They were getting stop on the defensive end, forced a couple of three and outs, but the key that opened the Panthers' success in the second half was running the ball.

On Sunday, though, Jones saw lots of one-on-one coverage against Carolina. The Falcons gained 571 total yards, averaged 8.8 yards per play and converted eight third downs.

On his team's 1-3 record: "This (slow start) is different because I think we should be better than we are", Rivera said.

New England's final game without Tom Brady was an ugly one.

The Falcons began the day leading the National Football League in scoring and total offense. James Bradberry missed most of the game after banging his left big toe against Jones. "Nothing was good enough", Patriots coach Bill Belichick said.

In London, the Jacksonville Jaguars made it two wins on the trot in their second home - this was their fourth game in the city in as many years - as they hung on to beat the Indianapolis Colts 30-27 in front of 83,764 fans at Wembley. Sunday's disaster might have been the worst of the calamities. The Falcons led 34-10 through three quarters. They came up with a big interception right after the Panthers scored to take away every bit of momentum Carolina had.
