Lady Gaga's powerful voice stars on uneven 'Joanne'

"And if I could bring her back, Joanne, I would".

Gaga sang tracks from "Joanne", released Friday, at The Bitter End, going from piano to guitar.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio show, Gaga said that the "chaos in America" this year, especially due to the tumultuous political situation, was the source of a lot of her inspiration for the album.

Lady Gaga has never been one to shy away from opening up on records but the title track from her new album may be her most emotional songs yet.

Those performances may have hinted at what this album could be: a stylistic departure from her dance-pop past.

In addition to promoting her new project, Gaga is busy preparing for her headlining slot at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on 5 February (17), when she will take the stage at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas during the National Football League (NFL) championship game.

"Rolling Stone: "'Joanne" is Lady Gaga's best album in five years, since the disco-stick hair-metal manifesto that was "Born This Way.'. The album was named after Gaga's aunt who died recently.

"Where do you think you're going, girl?" she sang plaintively in the stripped-down, country-tinged guitar ballad, which was streamed live on Bud Light's Facebook along with the rest of the emotional set. If you're a fan of Gaga's elongated vowel sounds and rather affected way of performing, then the big chorus of "Come To Mama" will be a treat for you.

The detail adds an entirely new personal dimension to Lady Gaga's survivor's anthem "Til It Happens to You", written for the campus sexual assault documentary The Hunting Ground. I'm in love with Gaga and this album!"While one concluded: "Best album of 2016 So far is #JOANNE". Lady Gaga's three-date Dive Bar Tour will end after just one more concert, on October 27. Any guesses where she'll pop up next?

The "Perfect Illusion" hitmaker continued, highlighting how fame has affected her everyday life: "If I go out, if I go to the store I can't have a normal conversation with someone, they don't ask me normal questions or want to know about you or your emotions".
