Kim Kardashian Robbery Costume Is Pulled From Site After Backlash

An online retailer has pulled a Halloween costume that made light of the recent jewelry heist involving Kim Kardashian West. What do you think of this "Parisian Heist Robbery Victim" costume?

The costume, called Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit, is being sold at Halloween site Costumeish, It includes a "white short sexy robe", a black wig, sunglasses, a fake gag rope.

Even though the company has not directly named Kim on its website, She's described as the 'America's goddess of all things glamorous'. Costumeish said in a tweet Tuesday that the costume has been pulled. The $70 costume was meant to look like Kim Kardashian West when she was reportedly robbed at gunpoint earlier this month in her Paris hotel room. "OK, how disgusting can people get", wrote Twitter user @ninapanessa. It also comes with a ring, a fake modelled on her 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring, worth United States dollars 4.5 million, which Kim was robbed off, during the heist. Treat it as such. "This is disgusting. It is not amusing".

The reaction on social media has been brutal.

Others-including Costumeish's vice president, Johnathon Weeks-didn't see the harm in it.

"People actually make me sick. It's one day out of the year", he added.

It'll make people either cringe or laugh. "Maybe you should just shut your life out and not go outside".

The costume has come under controversy for going too far.

In the description, the website tells potential costumers to "have some fun" while dressing up like what was probably the most traumatic night of Kim's life, while also implying that Kim is to blame for the crime. "We're just in the very beginning of this Halloween season". That one depicts Donald Trump in a red-brick suit, with an American flag.

UPDATE: The costume has since been removed from the site. "Thank you for maximizing my schadenfreude this Halloween".
