Rachel Morris leads the way as Britain claims three Rio rowing golds

Paralympian Rebecca Meyers is majoring in history in college. Her achievements are beyond comprehension, but consider this: she won her first five golds as a swimmer, before switching to cycling in 2005.

She's the first Briton since 1988 to win a medal in two sports at the same Paralympics, then it was Isabel Barr in shooting and athletics.

And Britain's tally moved to 14 medals as Stef Reid claimed silver in the T44 long jump and powerlifter Zoe Newson bronze in the -45kg category.

Morelli is a U.S. Army veteran from Meadville, Pa.

Xu Qing broke his own world record to win his third straight Paralympic 50m butterfly S6 gold medal at Rio Paralympics on September 9, 2016.

Andy Lewis was thrilled after claiming Great Britain's 13th gold medal as triathlon made its Paralympic Games debut in Rio.

"A lot of people thought I wouldn't be able to and there were moments when I doubted myself".

But what did she do between the two events?

"I was quicker than all my competitors".

"I am grateful for my Catholic education", Meyers told the Catholic Review, the Baltimore archdiocesan newspaper in mid-August during an email interview. "NDP embraced my disabilities and taught me how to shine".

"I keep looking around to check that I actually won, it's so weird".

"Thanks to everyone who has been watching me at school, it's so sweet". "By the time Tokyo 2020 comes along I might not even be in a position to take part in one event".

"Today I was plaiting people's hair and watching (film) Coach Carter". The 28 year old is competing in familiar waters and will be roared on by the ever passionate home crowd.

"And‚ despite all my first-time race effects‚ I still swam an S13 100m fly African record and have had the experience of a lifetime swimming my first "big race"‚ which I will never forget", she said.
