Best of NFL: Redskins Notch 1st Win Vs. Giants; Cowboys Rout Bears

When Tony Romo went down with a back injury the Cowboys had rookie quarterback Dak Prescott ready to go. The Bears play Dallas on Sunday

Brian Hoyer is set for his 27th start with his fourth different team in place of Cutler on Sunday night.

Tony Romo's understudy, Dak Prescott, was excellent at quarterback again, completing 19 of 24 passes for 248 yards, with his first National Football League touchdown pass (17 yards to Dez Bryant).

The Bears' Week 3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys was arguably their worst of the season.

The Bears will be looking for their first win after losses to the Texans and Eagles, while the Cowboys will be looking to build non-existent momentum after beating the Redskins last week.

The defense had no answer for Ezekiel Elliott and the running game while Dak Prescott looked more like a seasoned veteran than a first-year passer.

The 0-3 Bears will now lick their wounds and get prepared for their first divisional game of the season, as they will take on the Detroit Lions next week. "You got to call the spade the spade and go out there next week, get better and execute".

Vikings 22, Panthers 10: Sam Bradford threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Rudolph, Marcus Sherels returned a punt for a score, and Minnesota snapped Carolina's 14-game home winning streak. The Cowboys kept giving him the ball while trying to work the clock with a two-touchdown lead in the fourth quarter a week after he was benched because of two fumbles in a victory over Washington.

The Cowboys didn't score in the third quarter, but their defense stymied the Bears offense on consecutive drives after conceding the only touchdown of the game midway through the quarter. The 17-yard completion was Prescott's first touchdown pass of his young career. The Bears' first play with Hoyer under center was broken, with the quarterback and Langford failing to connect on a hand-off.

The Cowboys scored on every possession of the first half against the New York Giants, but only tallied up 9 points. They are learning how to utilize all of their weapons, including calling on Dak Prescott to run for touchdowns on two separate occasions. "There's nothing they've done to really stop us, just continue to move, take it one play at a time and we'll finish this off".

But neither Prescott nor the Cowboys can control who they play. Wide receiver Dez Bryant caught three passes for 40 yards and one touchdown.

If nothing else, we'll get to see Brian Hoyer "want to be good", again tonight.

We pretty much knew it Monday night, but the Cowboys made it official Sunday: Welcome to three months of Bears OTA's.

Beasley was also banged up on the opening series, taking a hard shot to the chest from defensive back Adrian Amos after a completion that was initially marked as a first down. Dan Bailey missed a 47-yard field goal that everyone assumes he'll always make. Most Cowboy games are filled with nerve wracking finishes that come down to the final play.

Once more, the primetime stage was too big for the Bears on Sunday night. The fourth-round pick from Mississippi State completed 19 of 24 passes for 248 yards for a touchdown and ran for another. Also, Jason Witten had 51 yards in three receptions.

But none of that matters now, as the offense has stalled since Cutler was knocked out after 7 quarters of football.
