You can unlock the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with your eyes

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Note 7 phablet, which boasts advanced iris scanner and Corning's new Gorilla Glass 5.

Those who decide to pre-order before 30th August will be rewarded with a special early delivery - three days before the device lands in store.

Like the Gear VR that came before it, the latest Gear VR for Note 7 is priced at $99.

Samsung has also updated its software interface on the Galaxy Note 7, where The Verge reports it has a "cleaner color palette, softer white menus, and an overall nicer-looking aesthetic". Like the previous versions of Galaxy Note series, Galaxy Note 7 also has a S Pen Stylus with it.

The Korean company has announced the Galaxy Note 7 at an event in NY, skipping over the number six just like Microsoft's Windows went straight from version eight to 10. It comes with more internal storage - 64 GB compared to the S7's 32 GB - and this can be expanded, thanks to a microSD slot.

Camera: 12 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Yes, it's called Galaxy Note 7 and not Note 6.

The Note 7 blends numerous features from last year's Note 5, with the design and waterproofing of this year's excellent S7 Edge.

What's more, the screen comes with new HDR video streaming capabilities, which Samsung claimed provides a "cinematic" experience.

The iris scanner will no doubt be the most welcome addition to the phone as it will help alleviate increasing security concerns of today's digital world.

Your eyes will be the keys to unlock financial information and other private data on the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung Pay transactions can also be authenticated via the new retinal technology. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB Ram.

There is an extra feature which is included in Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Samsung says the iris scanner is more? secure than a fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy Note 7, available in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx, will arrive on Malaysian shores starting 19th August 2016 and will retail at RM3,199.
