US Secret Service talks to Trump campaign over gun rights comments

Former U.S. Rep. Chris Shays, the last Republican to represent CT in Congress, said Wednesday he'll be voting for Hillary Clinton in November. "He is who he is", one Republican National Committee member said privately.

On Tuesday night, House Speaker Paul Ryan urged Trump to clarify the comments.

In a statement, campaign spokesman Jason Miller said Trump was just talking about the influence of Second Amendment groups like the NRA.
