Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire, the creative minds behind Phineas and Ferb, have cooked up a brand new animated series for Disney XD, and they've recruited "Weird Al" Yankovic to voice the lead character. Announced last May, the show was originally entitled Mikey Murphy's Law and slated for a 2017 premiere.

Milo Murphy's Law was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh of Phineas and Ferb.

In the main title sequence for Milo, also revealed today, the onslaught of "what can go wrong", along with the vocal stylings of Yankovic, looks to promise some wacky entertainment akin to Phineas and Ferb.

As the headline says, Milo Murphy's Law will make its debut on Disney XD October 3, but if you want to catch a peek ahead of time, Disney XD will be slipping the premiere episode on their app, their YouTube channel and On Demand the morning of September 26.

No matter what goes wrong - and it constantly does - Milo is prepared for every possibility, armed with knowledge, a backpack of supplies, and an endless sense of optimism and enthusiasm that can turn any catastrophe into an adventure.

The show features a lot of great voice actors, like Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement, Pamela Adlon (of Louie) Sarah Chalke (of Scrubs and Rick and Morty) and Christian Slater.

Robert F. Hughes serves as director/producer, with Bob Bowen on-board as director. The programming includes series, movies and short-form, as well as sports-themed programming developed with ESPN.
