Gyan is not fit to play - Reading report

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan's proposed move to Championship club Reading on a season-long loan has fallen through.

The Ghana global has been playing for Shanghai SIPG where he is on a reputed wage of £227,000-a-week but he will be allowed out on loan with the Chinese side heavily subsidising any contract.

However, after just one campaign at the Stadium of Light, Gyan joined UAE club Al Ain on loan, before joining the club permanently on a five-year contract in 2012.

We can't wait to see the field get some use.

Reiterating that he does not have control over transfers at Fulham, Jokanovic said: "I was very clear, I am not the person who can answer this". I can emphatically say that there is no truth that Gyan has failed a medical and therefore his move to the club has collapsed. Football is full of them.

And reflecting on his Sunderland exit, Gyan continued: "Sunderland is a good club". The people around me are trying to benefit me.

"I went to the Middle East but I was scoring goals for the national team and in the World Cup".

Aside from Sunderland and Fulham, Gyan was also rumored to be being pursued by newly-promoted Premier League side Hull City, West Ham United, and Turkish Süper Lig club Besiktas JK. I don't regret it at all and now I am back to prove myself again. It doesnt matter if it is Championship or Premier league, its about being comfortable where I am.

Maybe it's the hyper-real glow of the astroturf, but we can't stop looking at these images of the new football pitch Asamoah Gyan built for his alma mater, Accra Academy.
