Caitlyn Jenner Receives Glamour Woman of The Year Award

Caitlyn Jenner opened up about the struggles with her transition while being honored as a Glamour "Woman of the Year" at Monday night's award ceremony, detailing how she chose to tell those closest to her.

Caitlyn Jenner, the 66 years old, reality TV star and former Athlete, was honored with Glamour magazine's 'Woman Of The Year ' 2015 award. Wearing a blue Moschino gown, Jenner was hailed as "The Trans Champion", and in her acceptance speech, she told the audience, "when it comes to gender, everyone in this room is on a journey".

"I sat down with my pastor, talked to him about my issues", Jenner said. And yes, I had a lot of conversations with God. "I urge each one of you to ask yourselves: What do we do now?". She recounts, "I started thinking, maybe this is why God put me on earth. This is who I am". "I hope Amy Schumer and all the other incredible nominees that when you consider making your biopic, that you'll give me the rights first, which would be great, " Witherspooon said.

Actress Judith Light presented Jenner with the prestigious award, a woman who Caitlyn says has been "such a supporter of our community". I got to a few years ago, I was back out in Malibu in my home, all alone. "No wonder we don't have the healthcare we deserve or paid family leave or public access to early childhood education". "I've raised wonderful children - 10 of them - but I lied to myself for so long..."

"She's such a good role model for so many people, and I know she wants to do so much good with what she's doing".

On her Instagram account, Kylie explained that she had a fashion mishap prior to the show. Who are your heroes? "Now", she said to cheers, "I actually like going out, and being myself". "Picture and gender marker are all "F", she said.

Jenner let her designer dress do all the talking, leaving her accessories to a minimum and styling her long tresses in a chic updo.

Though Jenner takes obvious pleasure in the process of dressing up, the Olympian joked as she took the stage that "getting up those stairs in this dress is more difficult than hurdling". Not one has abandoned me they've been supportive of me, it's been great.

While vulgar comments are not going to be quoted here, most of the comments against Glamour's choice of honoring Caitlyn Jenner were extremely unfavorable.
