Bob Newhart returning to The Big Bang Theory

Bob Newhart to make another appearance on'The Big Bang Theory

Bob Newhart is set to reprise his role as Sheldon's childhood hero in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory, EW has learned.

THR also reported in May of 2014 that Newhart had to learn about the Jedi character for his dreamtime appearance to Sheldon.

According to TV Line, Jim Parson's character is set to "sort out his feelings" in order to reach a conclusion about a certain decision he has to make.

Newhart won his first Emmy Award in 2013 for his guest appearance on "The Big Bang Theory". There's an undeniable Star Wars connection as Jeffries last came to Sheldon in a dream, dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In "The Proton Transmogrification" Bob Newhart's character Arthur Jeffries passed away as the friends were celebrating Star Wars Day. Could Arthur be giving Sheldon a few advices about Amy (Mayim Bialik)? And because of the way that he appears to Sheldon, Arthur will always be dressed as a Jedi Master.

In other news, "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will introduce a new love interest for both Sheldon and Amy.

Arthur died back in Season Seven but "he can live on in Sheldon's conscience forever", said BBT Showrunner Steve Molaro.

The Big Bang Theory is back to its regular Thursday night slot.

HBO will air Whitney Cummings' "I'm Your Girlfriend" stand-up special on Saturday, January 23 at 10 p.m. Her show was taped at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Calif. and will be Cummings' first HBO stand-up comedy special.
